Njunjul is an aboriginal and people think that aboriginal people are criminals and do bad things. This affects his dreams because he wants to play basketball and there are not many aboriginal players in the australian. When he went to school for the first time he didnt feel like he would fit in and he felt nervous and scared.

Mikayla and i,(Chelsea) think chapter 3 is a bit borring but has a lot of details about his new surroundings, eg: moving to Sydney with his Aunty and Uncle.
Njunjul also takes an intrest in the girl next door, Rhonda.

Njunjul is an aboriginal and some people believe that aborigines are criminals. People think of him different because of his skin color and race, this effects him as it's hard for him to fit in at school and even in his own neighborhood. He has a very low self esteem as he is always been put down by people his age and even by the police. It effects his dreams of being a famous basketball player as there aren't many aboriginal basketball players in Australia. If he joins a team his team mates and coach may be unfair to him because of his race.

Because Njunjul is an Aboriginal people think that him and other Aboriginals are criminals. This is bad for his dreams and future because he wants to play basketball he might not be allowed to play

Njunjul's self image as an aboriginal person effects his understanding of how people see him because he thinks people are always thinking negative thigs about him because he is an aboriginla. Also, his experience with the police bashing him because he's aboroginal is still haunting him, and it makes his self esteem lower. Also, Rhonda thinks she understands how aboriginals feel but she doesnt, and her thoughts affect Njunjul because he spends alot of time with her and then starts to think that what she thinks is true. She thinks negative things and because he spends so much time with her thats all he is surrounded by. These feelings effect his dreams for the future because he feels that he might not be given an equal oppurtunity to play basketball as non indigenous people.

i think Njunjuls self image, as an aboriginal person effects his understanding of how people see him because when people see him he is an aboriginal and they think that he is different and a bad person because he is a different colour and not the same as them. this effects him when he goes to school because the other kids don't respect him and he feels like he doesn't fit in, it also effects him when he wants to be a famous basketball player because he thinks that there are not many aboriginal basketball players.

I think people believe that njunjul and other aboriginals are different just because they are a different colour, this will effect him later on in life because he wont fit in anywhere, eg. School, jobs and Hobbies.
